Event : BBO / SOE Commemoration

During the last years of the second world war the Dutch SOE desk (BBO) executed several operations in occupied Holland. These ops were both deploying agents as making supply drops for these agents and / or the Dutch resistance. In the centre part of Holland, in the “Veluwe” area there have been two mayor DZs for equipment drops. These were called NAPIER and RUMMY 3. In total about 30.000 – 40.000 tons of equipment has been dropped on each DZ in a time span of about 2 years.
