IRISH DROP ZONE

In Ireland we use the Irish Parachute Club Drop Zone at Clonbullogue, County Offay. Pathfinder Ireland first jumped here in September 2008 and are developing further possibilities for our members from Ireland and overseas members to jump here.

Facilities

The IPC are well set up with a runway, large DZ, hangar, clubhouse including a bar & cafe, training rooms, onsite riggers, a 20-bed bunkhouse, showers, and a free camping area.

Getting To The Irish Parachute Club

It is easy to get to due to its location between the N4 and N7. It's less than and hour and a half drive from Dublin.

From Dublin take the N7 towards Cork.
Take the exit for the Curragh and head over the motorway and follow the signs for Rathangan.
From Rathangan go through the town and continue straight through and follow the signs for Clonbullogue.
At Clonbullogue take the first left, go over the bridge and take the first right (there is a road sign for the Irish Parachute Club).

The Drop Zone
The DZ itself is large enough to land round canopies. Its dimensions are 500 metres long and 250 metres wide. There are numberous fields around it as alternate DZs just in case. It is bordered on one side by a treeline and forestry plantation beyond it and on the other by the grass runway.

Fees
25 Euros per jump.
